dr. Katja Gorensek, dermatologist, Slovenia
Katja Gorensek is a dermatologist and co-owner and director of Estetska klinika Skin. With more than 10 years of being a medical doctor she gained many experience and have tried herself in many different fields of dermatology. With her fascination with beauty and art, it was easy to decide that aesthetic medicine is where she will find her joy.
Aged 6, she began to danced ballet, and she was a dancer for more than 12 years. She joined Slovene national ballet in Maribor as a young talent, where she danced in many ballet performances, her favorite being The Nutcracker. With all her ambitions in medicine, she decided to stop dancing. But her passion for art, beauty of dancing body and beauty per se remained.
She now works in her private clinic in Ljubljana where she performs many non-surgical aesthetic procedures and skin quality treatments. She has a lot of interest and knowledge on cosmeceuticals and nutraceuticals, she lectured on IMCAS Asia and IMCAS World Conference in Paris last year.
She is a mother of two, an art lover and a blogger. She strives to presents an aesthetic medicine to general public and to promote an holistic approach to beauty. That is why she is a writer on beauty for many well known magazines.
