The Mediterranean you don’t know
The coast of Slovenia, only 46 kilometres long, is a mash-up of the best the Adriatic has to offer. With Karst region just few kilometers from the coast, this is the most beautiful part of Slovenia.
That isn’t to say that Slovenia’s only outlet to the sea is a large one. From top to bottom, it measures 46 kilometres. It’s squeezed between Italy, to the north, and Croatia, to the south. Even today, Italian and Slovenian are the area’s official languages. With beautiful vineyards and olive trees making beautiful view of “Mediterranean forests”.
Lipica: the cradle of white horses
Did you know that the noble white Lipizzaner horses are from Slovenia? Their original stud farm has been in Lipica in the Karst since 1580. You can marvel at their elegance while watching shows and classical riding training. You can experience the Karst Region in a carriage, or you can go riding.
Relaxing in the salt pans
